Okay, I understand that Thor is a demigod, but let's be serious, Firestorm has already survived a nuclear blast, what is a little lightning going to do to him?
Jason Rusch as Firestorm is custom designed to defeat Thor, his particular version of the hero has the ability to change the shape of either organic or inorganic material, so he is the one that is cruising into this fight.
But Reformer, what about the Hammer? Surely he (despite his terminal degree in Physics via the brilliant Professor Stein) does not understand the inner workings of the Hammer of Thor Odinson enough to be able to change it's shape. I can concede this point no problem. Firestorm is going to come flying in at over 600mph while Thor swings at him with the Hammer, directly on target. Firestorm, fortunately enough, can make himself intangible, therefore the Hammer is going to pass right through him. Thor immediately realizes this problem and resorts to lightning attacks with the Hammer. The Firestorm Matrix has always been able to absorb electromagnetic energy, so Rusch appreciates the charge up. Now it is time to go on the offensive.
He uses his ability to convert inorganic matter change Thor's gauntlets into handcuffs and his helmet into a blinder, but this is all just for fun, the then turns his arms into wings, good luck wielding the hammer with those. He then drives Thor into outer space, he can breathe up there just fine.(another perk of the Jason Rusch form of the Matrix) Once safe away from the earth he launches a series of nuclear blasts at Thor, incapacitating him. Fight over.
